SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)
In 2015, the United Nations General Assembly agreed to 17 global Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are an universal action plan aimed at
resolving poverty, protecting the planet and enabling all people to enjoy
peace and prosperity by 2030.
Since its establishment, PLANARTH GROUP has held the mission to improve
global environment and people's living environment.
Our efforts to preserve the environment began from the development of our
flagship product: thermal barrier paint PLANET SUPRA. Climate change such
as severe heat waves and droughts in recent years poses a serious threat
to the lives of people and the environment of planet earth.
It has always been our hope to contribute to solutions of these global
issues through our business. In 2014, two of our products were certified
as carbon offset products by the Japanese government, and since 2017, we
have been participating in carbon offset campaign which targets national
parks and natural heritage sites in Japan.
Within the 17 goals set out in the SDGs, PLANARTH GROUP focuses on several
of the goals which aligns most closely to our core values underpinning
our business.

Carbon Offset Campaign of National Parks and World Natural Heritage Sites
Earth design by J-credit scheme
As a way to contribute to our planet earth, PLANARTH GROUP participates
in carbon offset campaign of national parks and world natural heritage
sites around Japan as a special sponsor.
The campaign was actualized, owing to efforts and mutual cooperation by
Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Ministry of the Environment.
The considerable attention it is receiving indicates the high expectation
that the government holds for this joint campaign to achieve significant
results.
The activity of the campaign aims to raise awareness of environmental conservation
through offsetting the carbon dioxide emitted from vehicles and surrounding
facilities of national parks and natural heritage sites. The campaign is
spreading to national parks and natural heritage sites throughout Japan
and is to the world.
PLANARTH GROUP will continue participating in all of them as a special
sponsor.

Carbon Offset and Donguri Mark
Carbon offset is a way to compensate for (or offset) emissions of greenhouse
gases (GHG), including CO2. One way to implement this is to utilize CFP (Carbon Footprint of Products).
CFP is the total amount of GHG emitted directly or indirectly during the
entire life cycle of a product or service, i.e., from the extraction of
natural resources to disposal/recycling of the product or service.
PLANET SUPRA and PLANET SUPRA NEO have been certified as carbon offset
products by Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Certified
carbon offset products are given a DONGURI (acorn) mark as a recognition.
Our products are the first and only carbon offset products in the paint
industry.
Purchasing a product with a "Donguri Mark" in effect contributes
to the reduction of GHG emissions.
